ABOUT US

Head Trainer,

Teal Pederson

Raised in a deeply rooted horse family, Teal Pedersen was immersed in elite horsemanship from an early age. As the daughter of accomplished Thoroughbred trainer Jennifer Pedersen—who trained graded stakes horses, competed on the Kentucky Derby trail, and saddled a Belmont Stakes starter—Teal grew up where exceptional horse care was the standard.

Working in a top-level racing environment, she learned that successful horses are developed long before they reach the show ring. Her foundation includes conditioning, nutrition, soundness, rehabilitation, and the daily attention to detail required to maintain equine athletes at peak performance. She also developed a sharp eye for subtle changes in behavior and movement, understanding that consistency and longevity come from meticulous care, not talent alone.

This background shapes her approach to the hunter/jumper sport. Teal blends the discipline and horsemanship of the racing world with the precision and patience required to develop show horses. She believes every horse is an individual, and that success is built through thoughtful management, correct training, and a strong commitment to both physical and mental well-being.

Today, Teal continues to campaign hunters and jumpers with the same philosophy she was raised on: exceptional care produces exceptional performance. Her focus is not only on results, but on developing each horse to its fullest potential through sound horsemanship and dedicated, individualized care.
